It's origin from Reggio Calabria and it is baked as a cake (then cut in pieces) and also as an over-sized biscotto to be eaten during the winter holiday season.
The "Stomatico" recipe which Angela had to formulate from her Calabrese Nonna into the La Biscotteria's "famosi biscotti Buonocore" is still true to its original recipe; hence, baked with cinnamon, cloves, raw sugar, honey, ginger, and all-spices. This NUT FREE biscotto is crispy to perfection and deliciously flavored in all-spice, a warm holiday "stomatico" aroma that will permeate your home with a scent you will never forget.
