RAVIOLI Butternut Squash

RAVIOLI Butternut Squash

Our Butternut Squash Ravioli are made with fresh baked butternut squash which are then blended with a fresh baked batch of our nut free biscotti (flavored in various essential oils....Shhh! It's a SECRET). We pulverize our biscotti and add them into the butternut squash filling, NOT bread crumbs! There's absolutely no meat or cheese in these.
A wonderful unique sweet flavor just in time for the holidays!

Ravioli are sold frozen-keep frozen until ready to use. There are 48 small sized ravioli (approximately 1 lb./box) which serve 2-3 people per box.

THESE ARE SOME SIMPLE SAUCE RECIPES TO COMPLIMENT LA BISCOTTERIA'S FAMOUS RAVIOLI.

SWEET BUTTER SAGE SAUCE RECIPE
RECOMMENDED FOR OUR BUTTERNUT SQUASH RAVIOLI

Heat olive oil in sauce pan add half cube of butter or 6 tablespoons of butter(preferable) and a cup of fresh sage leaves (not dried sage), stirring constantly until butter is well melted and the aroma of the fresh sage permeates the room!

For those with a sweeter tooth, add toasted and then crumbled La Biscotteria's amaretti gluten free cookies to sauce. Poor sauce onto ravioli and stir using only a wooden spoon; otherwise, ravioli will tear and break!
Top with Parmesan cheese if you like. Serve and enjoy every bite.

For those who prefer it richer & are not watching their diet, see the following recipe titled, " TOMATO & CREAM OF MUSHROOM SAUCE RECIPE", to compliment your butternut squash ravioli.

TOMATO & CREAM OF MUSHROOM SAUCE RECIPE
RECOMMENDED FOR OUR BUTTERNUT SQUASH RAVIOLI

Begin with simple marinara tomato sauce (pureed, not chunky), add peas (frozen or fresh when in season), add diced pancetta or boiled ham or better yet use Italian prosciutto; and last, add (to your taste) cream of mushroom (you can find this in a small tin can in your local grocery market). When you add the cream of mushroom to tomato sauce, the sauce will turn into an orange cream color.

Cook for 45 minutes and poor onto ravioli.
Don't forget to stir ravioli using only a wooden spoon or ravioli will tear and break! Serve with parmigiano cheese sprinkled on top and enjoy every bite.
