Sfogliatelle which means "many leaves or layers" are delicate pastries filled with pure ricotta cheese, orange peel & citron (lemon flavor), a blend of "crema pasticcera"(Bavarian cream), and butter. They are baked to perfection with a deliciously crispy/crunchy and very flaky outside layer (outside resembles a clam shell shape) and filled with a creamy ricotta cheese pastry filling that is citrous flavored. Sfogliatelle are a special dessert you'll want to treat yourself all the time.
Taste best when they are hot out of the oven. You may also reheat using a standard oven or a toaster oven -set to "bake". Do NOT use a microwave. Like most of Europeans, pastries and breads are best consumed on the same day they have been baked to order.

Available in store by special order Wednesday through Friday with a minimum order of six for large and twelve for mini size Sfogliatelle.

Please do not forget to leave your name, telephone number, quantity and the desired pick-up time, keeping in mind our bakery's open hours. Try to arrive an hour before closing, please!
A single Sfogliatella is available for purchase at the bakery shop as they part of La Biscotteria's "SATURDAYS SPECIALS". No minimum order of six (half dozen large) or twelve (dozen mini) is needed if you are planning to try one Sfogilatelle on Saturday.
We have plenty, but be sure to come in before 12-NOON or you'll miss out!
WHEN TO SERVE SFOGLIATELLE... We recommend that these delicate crispy and flaky pastries filled with ricotta must be eaten and served the same day purchased, not the next day. Otherwise, expect the sfogliatelle NOT to be crisp to perfection as the day it was baked for you!

The mini size is great for large groups and family gatherings, catering and special event orders. Be sure to place your orders in advance.
Sfogliatelle are available on a first come first serve basis every Saturday or by special order.
